DhruvStar Industry Insights: What it Means for Industry

  • Infrastructure Opportunities: Growing focus on hydrogen production and port readiness will open opportunities in storage, pipelines, and transport logistics.
  • Technology Localisation: The mission’s emphasis on indigenisation creates scope for partnerships in electrolyser manufacturing, fuel cell design, and hydrogen blending technologies.
  • Certification & Financing: Development of certification and financing frameworks will drive demand for verification, ESG-linked finance, and project advisory services.

DhruvStar Explainer: Green Hydrogen & Its Applications

Green hydrogen is produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable energy sources like solar or wind, making it a zero-emission fuel.

It can replace fossil fuels in industries such as steel, cement, fertilisers, and transport, reducing carbon emissions significantly.

Used for clean power generation, long-duration energy storage, green ammonia production, and as a fuel for heavy mobility and shipping.
